The Chancellor’s Recognition Ceremony for December Degree Candidates is the annual University-wide ceremony hosted by Chancellor Martin to recognize WashU graduates. For more information visit: https://commencement.wustl.edu/. Olin’s Graduation Recognition Ceremony is for Olin Business School graduates only highlighting student and faculty awards and honors. There is an elected student speaker and Olin student(s) present Olin faculty with awards. Each degree candidate can cross the stage. For more information visit: https://olingraduations.wustl.edu/.
You can attend either or both. This decision is completely up to you. Both ceremonies require you to register to attend.
- To register for the Chancellor’s Recognition Ceremony for December Degree Candidates, click here.
- REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. Check back in October 2023.
Registration helps us plan for all aspects of the ceremony for example number of name cards, number of chairs, number of photographers, etc.
There are two registration links because the ceremonies are different. The Chancellor’s Recognition Ceremony needs to plan for the number of chairs, photographers, a graduation gift for each graduate from all schools that attends, etc. Olin has a unique registration link to ensure accurate seating and, most importantly, the pronunciation of your name during the ceremony. Olin’s unique link will ask you to provide the phonetic pronunciation of your name and actually have you record your name so we can ensure it is pronounced as accurately as possible when you cross the stage.
Yes, regalia is required for both The Chancellor’s Recognition Ceremony and the Olin Graduation Recognition Ceremony. Click here to reserve your regalia through the campus bookstore. If you are attending both ceremonies, you only need to rent regalia once and wear it to both.
Awards for the Undergraduate Program Degrees and Full-time MBA Program are presented in May Ceremonies only.
We encourage everyone to register before the deadline – Monday, November 14th for Olin’s Graduation Recognition Ceremony. If you did not register in time, send an email to Olin-Graduation@email.wustl.edu as soon as possible and include your SIS number, first name, last name, and degree. We will do our best to add you to the registration system.
If you are sure you will no longer be attending, send an email to let us know at Olin-Graduation@email.wustl.edu and include your SIS number, first name, last name, and degree.
Your guests do not need to register. Guests do not require tickets to attend.
You can order regalia for pictures here. We recommend you contact the bookstore at 314-935-5606 for further questions about renting for photos only, pick up and return.
You return your regalia to the Danforth Bookstore in the lower-level coursebook area, Mallinckrodt Center. We recommend you contact the bookstore at 314-935-5606 for further questions.
